介紹

朴子溪渡槽橋為嘉南大圳北幹線運水橋樑之一，第一代渡槽於1930年竣工，其結構形式為華倫式桁架鋼構渡槽，橋長186.6公尺，主要功能為農業灌溉及運輸功能，後經歷第二次世界大戰，美軍轟炸日治時期臺灣基礎設施，致使損害嚴重，於1980年配合政府推動「加速農村建設計畫」，同時增供工業用水需知求，新建第二代渡槽，其結構形式為鋼筋混凝土式渡槽，橋長200公尺，使用至今。
考量現行第二代渡槽有出水高不足、橋長不足及耐震能力不足等問題，為維持北幹線供水穩定，農業部農田水利署嘉南管理處於2023年針對渡槽進行第三代渡槽改建工程，歷時2年施工期，於2025年2月正式完工，其工程主要施工項目有橋梁工程、銜接段工程及美化工程，橋梁工程部分採鋼構I型梁橋(全長為276公尺)，銜接段工程有上、下游座槽計40公尺、上、下游箱涵計59公尺及臨時導水路125公尺，在綠美化工程部分進行灌木類植栽及景觀平台一處。
