Jioucyongpi Pond is located on the border between Tugou Village in Shuishang Township and Gangwei Village in Taibao City, Chiayi County. Constructed during the Japanese colonial period, the pond has a history of over 70 years and is currently managed by the Chianan Irrigation Association. Comprising one large pond and two smaller ponds, Jioucyongpi covers a water surface area of about 5.4 hectares. In addition to providing effective irrigation and flood detention functions, the pond also supports a rich and diverse ecological environment.
